Donny Osmond made a return to the Palladium on Thursday, with his show Pantoland, just days after being forced to pull out due to injury.

The singer, 64, appeared on stage in a shiny gold armour ensemble with a coordinating oversized collar and gold cape.

He performed alongside Julian Clary, who wowed in a fluffy white coat while donning an unmissable headpiece.

Donny was forced to pull out of the shows earlier in the week after suffering from an injury, but was able to return to the stage on Thursday.

His account tweeted: 'Donny Osmond suffered a slight injury during the evening performance of Pantoland on Saturday and thus will miss Sunday's scheduled shows.

'He's being evaluated by a doctor and hopes to return to the stage.

 

 

Today's performances at The Palladium will continue as planned.'

The show marked his return to the Palladium after he performed there with his brothers as The Osmonds in 1972 in front of the Queen.

Thursday also marked the star's 64th birthday and he took to Twitter once again to share a video of himself in full costume to thank his fans.

He wrote: 'Thank you so much for all the birthday greetings and well wishes you have sent me!

He revealed to that after he discovered his spine had shifted due to dancing injuries he went under the knife - before contracting an infection while recovering which left him unable to move. 

Attributing a strong mindset and his devout Mormon faith with helping him recover, Donny confessed that he feels as though he has 'come back from the dead' now that he has returned to the stage.

Donny made his singing and TV debut when he was just five years old, in a 1963 airing of The Andy Williams Show, on which he performed with his older brothers.

A breakout star, Donny collaborated with his sister Marie on albums and on a 1970s variety show that ran from 1976 through 1979.

Later work included voicing Captain Shang in Disney's 1998 movie, Mulan, and playing the starring role in the musical, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, both on stage and in the 1999 film version.
